Anthropic’s Claude Can Now Create Invoices and Evaluate Sales

Claude by Anthropic now integrates with business apps like Asana, PayPal, Square, and Zapier, enabling task management across platforms.

Anthropic’s AI assistant, Claude, has taken a significant step forward by integrating with various business applications, allowing users to assign tasks across platforms like Asana, PayPal, Square, and Zapier. These integrations mark a shift from Claude’s previous role, where it mainly provided answers to queries based on available information. Now, Claude can actively perform tasks on behalf of users, including generating invoices, analyzing sales data, and drafting messages in Slack (via Zapier). This feature is available on Anthropic’s Max, Team, and Enterprise plans, with plans to roll out for Pro users soon. (Source: CNBC)

The move comes as Claude expands its capabilities across a growing number of business apps, including JIRA and Plaid, helping businesses streamline their workflows. Users can simply instruct Claude on the tasks they need done, and it will execute them across these different tools. Anthropic has also introduced a Zapier integration, which allows users to draft and send messages on Slack as part of their workflow. However, a direct Slack integration has yet to be launched.

Founded in 2023 by former OpenAI executives, Anthropic has seen remarkable growth in just two years, achieving a $61.5 billion valuation following its latest funding round. Its annualized revenue has surged to $2 billion, a significant jump from $1 billion just six months ago, reflecting the growing demand for Claude’s enterprise-focused and coding capabilities. Large enterprises, such as Snowflake and Salesforce, are building applications based on Claude’s technology, while industries like insurance and manufacturing are leveraging it for tasks like underwriting and supply chain modernization.

Claude’s rapid growth mirrors the rise of other generative AI tools like ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini, as businesses increasingly incorporate AI into their customer service, marketing, and sales functions. To complement its enterprise focus, Anthropic also caters to individual power users, offering subscriptions priced between $100 and $200 per month.Additionally, Anthropic introduced its Advanced Research tool, which allows Claude to conduct web searches and gather information from connected apps like Google Workspace. The tool then synthesizes this information to generate more comprehensive research reports, taking anywhere from five to 45 minutes to complete, further enhancing the capabilities of Claude in the business and research domains.
